The Matte Black Corvette C8 seen here is accentuated even further, thanks to a subtle & aggressive carbon fiber aero kit and a set of ADV.1 FLOWSpec wheels
Besides the Ford Mustang, the other vehicle synonymous for American muscle is definitely the Chevrolet Corvette. Sure, you can add the likes of the Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger or the Dodge Viper to the mix, but the Mustang & the ‘Vette are the most recognizable muscle cars that money can buy. For the Corvette, the current model is the eight-generation of this supreme high-performance car. While in recent year, the new generation of the Corvette was simply an evolutionary step, for the newest-gen Corvette, this is more of a revolutionary step forward.
The Corvette C8 features a completely different architecture and car structure. Following several experimental CERV prototype vehicles, the C8 was released as the first mid-engined Corvette since the vehicle was introduced in 1953, marking the American car brand’s ascension into the highest tier high-performance sports car market.
It features a naturally aspirated 6.2 liter V8 engine, delivering 490 horsepower and 640Nm (435lb-ft) of torque – an improvement of 40 horsepower and 14Nm (10lb-ft) of torque when compared to the outgoing Corvette C7 Stingray. To make the C8 an even more compelling vehicle, Chevrolet decided to releaser it with a manual transmission option – something not seen in literally decades, and something petrolheads will definitely like.
However, the C8 Corvette is best utilized with a ligthing-fast 8-speed dual-clutch automated transmission system by Tremec, utilizing paddle shifters on the steering wheel. This allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in 2.9 seconds, a remarkable feat for a
1654 kilograms (3,647 lbs). As a result, the C8 Corvette is one of the best handling performance cars on the market today, entering supercar territory in both performance and looks wise. However, for some owners, the latter needs a bit more to make it perfect.
This particular Matte Black Corvette C8 comes with an aftermarket carbon fiber body kit and a set of lightweight ADV.1 Wheels. The former includes a front lip spoiler, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a rear aero wing, adding an additional aggressive set of details for this ride. Furthermore, the ADV005 FLOWSpec monoblock flow-formed wheels finish up the build perfectly. For this build, they are sized 20×9 in the front and 20×11 in the rear. The customer opted-in for a Bespoke Liquid Brushed Smoke finish.
The end result, a clean & aggressive looking C8 Corvette that will turn heads both on and off the track, thanks to these subtle aftermarket touches. For a complete look at this build, grab a look at the photoshoot right below.
