Currently, we’re all eagerly awaiting the reveal of the next-generation BMW M3. The internally named BMW G80 M3, the vehicle is slated for a 2019 debut and 2020 market arrival. However, until then, the current BMW F82 M4 still poses a great high-performance choice for anyone interested in daily driving a machine that can handle itself both on and off the track – even if the M3 is currently out of sale.

The current-generation BMW M3 and M4 are powered by a 3.0 Liter BMW TwinPower Turbo engine, delivering 425 horsepower and 486lb-ft of torque. Mated to a 7-Speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission), it can sprint from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 4.1 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 155mph (250km/h). For many, this is the best option for anyone looking to daily drive a high-performance machine.

However, mostly due to its old age (by car standards), the vehicle is a bit long in the tooth. This means that some owners are likely to turn to the aftermarket tuning industry for some fresh upgrades for their vehicle. Furthermore, it’s modded with a complete set of carbon fiber aerodynamic parts, consisting of a carbon fiber front lip spoiler, side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a rear aero wing. Additionally, the M4 comes with the M Performance exhaust system, giving it some more power and torque, but ultimately, a deeper sound coming out of the quad exhaust pipes.
