The Ferrari 458 Speciale is the utmost top performing road going Ferrari 458 today. Distinctions of the Speciale are the new forged wheels, vented bonnet, finned side sills, taller rear spoiler and redesigned bumpers. The engine was also updated, where its power has been increased to 445 kW (597 hp) at 9,000 rpm and to 540 N·m (398 lb·ft) of torque at 6,000 rpm. Not a bad upgrade, to say the least.

Electronic systems were updated too, introducing side slip angle control (SSC) to improve car control on the limit. SSC performs instant-to-instant analysis of the car’s side slip, comparing it with the target value and then optimizing both torque management (via integration with F1-Trac traction control) and torque distribution between the two wheels (via integration with the E-Diff electronic differential).

The weight/power ratio (1,290 kg dry, 1,395 kg at the kerb, 90 less than the standard 458) is equal to 2.13 kg/cv, sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just three seconds (0-125 mph in 9.1 seconds with a response time of just 0.060 seconds). Ferrari declared a Fiorano test track lap time of 1:23.5, only 0.5 seconds slower than the F12berlinetta. Lateral acceleration now reaches 1.33 g and provides a great showcase of how well this Ferrari handles as well.

For this White Ferrari 458 Speciale, the idea was simple: make it an even more aggressive and beautiful beast. This was done by adding a set of PUR RS23 sized 21×9 and 22×12 in the front and rear, respectively. The addition of a Gloss Lumiere Grey finish for the wheels, works perfectly on this vehicle. Been in the automotive industry ever since he got out of high school. Loves 911s, and everything BMW makes, even the new cars. He also enjoys racing events, even as a spectator, hanging on the side of the pit wall and taking pictures and drinking espresso that makes want to write more. Too tall to drive almost any supercar, but that doesn't stop him from bashing out people that do. Follows the aftermarket tuning industry in depth. Loves to spend time at BMW Welt. Enjoys too much coffee.
