Photoshoot: 1016 Industries Huracán And Huracán Performante Join Forces

While some will argue that there’s more to it than some carbon fiber and a slight ECU tune, it seems 1016 Industries made a cookie cutter example of what the aftermarket industry is capable of doing. In this photoshoot, the Miami based tuner pits a Lamborghini Huracán LP-610-4 – fully decked out with their carbon fiber parts – against a Huracán Performante. In turn, we get to take a look at what the Performante brings to the table when compared to a tuned Huracán in both the performance and aesthetics departments.

For the Performante, Lamborghini further tuned the 5.2-liter V10 engine which now puts out 631 hp (471 kW; 640 PS) at 8000 rpm and 443 lb·ft (601 N·m) of torque at 6500 rpm. The engineers at the Italian carmaker also decreased the weight of the vehicle by a whopping 40 kg (88 lb), thanks to the forged aluminum and forged carbon fiber body (first used in the Sesto Elemento) and hollow parts. In turn, the Huracan Performante will sprint from 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in as low as 2.9 seconds. The vehicle will reach a top speed of around 325km/h (202mph).

On the other hand, this particular Lamborghini Huracán features the same 5.2 Liter V10 engine, but thanks to a 1016 Industries ECU tune, it now delivers 640 horsepower and 448lb-ft of torque, thanks to a unique ECU and TCU tuning solution. This is more than what the Performante achieves, giving the way of aftermarket tuning an interesting take for many individuals that seek to get more from their Baby Bull. Additionally, when equipped with an aftermarket IF exhaust system, 1016 Industries can further improve the horsepower output of your Huracan to 670 horsepower, giving it even more performance.

Additionally, the 1016 Industries tune also improves the vehicle’s throttle response, gearshift speed, traction management and other driveline communications. The resulting solution achieves the most complete and powerful upgrade to an already outstanding platform, allowing the user to be more connected and controlled in their driving experience.

For the aerodynamic aspect, 1016 Industries offers a stylish, yet clean solution. Yes, the Performante might be more aggressive as far as the rear end goes, but the carbon fiber bodykit offered by the aftermarket tuner certainly gives the Huracan a more aggressive look. The complete package consists of a front add-on spoiler, side sill blades (directing air into the rear brakes and onto the diffuser), a rear diffuser and a rear aero wing. The latest addition is the lightweight carbon fiber hood, giving the 1016 Industries Huracán a Lamborghini Centenario inspired addition.

Fore the Huracan Performante, the tuner is preparing a front add-on spoiler, front add-on flippers, side intake covers, vented front fenders, side sill blades, side skirts and a rear diffuser add-on. All of the parts will be made from high-quality forged carbon composite, ensuring exceptional quality and lightweight.

But, does the 1016 Industries Huracán have an edge over the Performante? You be the judge, as the two are directly pitted against each other in the media gallery below.
