Sophisto Gray Metallic BMW i8 Upgraded With ADV.1 Wheels

The BMW i8 Coupe is a high-performance coupe built by the Bavarian car maker. Recently, it was joined by the newly-announced BMW i8 Spyder, slated for a Geneva Auto Show reveal later in the year. The BMW i8, however, garners most of the by-passers’ attention thanks to its futuristic looks, a powerful powertrain, and impressive fuel economy. Developed especially for this model, the powertrain is a combination of a 1.5 liter three-cylinder petrol engine and electric motors, powering all four wheels. The combustion engine develops 170 kW/231 hp and drives the rear wheels of the BMW i8.

Furthermore, there is a 96 kW/131 hp electric drive as well, which sends its power to the front wheels and allows an all-electric range of up to 35 kilometers (22 miles) and a top speed of 120 km/h (75 mph). Thanks to this powertrain combination, the BMW i8 will accelerate from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 4.2 seconds. The vehicle is capable of going all the way up to an electronically limited top speed of 155mph (250km/h).

This Sophisto Gray Metallic BMW i8 is adorned with a set of ADV510 Track Spec Advanced Series wheels. For this build, the wheel company machined the wheels in sizes of 22×9 and 22×10.5 in the front and rear, respectively. Additionally, the wheels match the exterior of the vehicle perfectly, thanks to their finish choice. These are finished with a combination that consists of Fine Textured Gunmetal centers and Matte Polished Blue finish for the lips, creating a perfect color scheme. The perfect finishing touch to these wheels is done thanks to Tikore titanium lug bolts, giving the wheels a lightweight fastening option as well.
