G-Power Upgrades The BMW M3’s V8, Pushes It To 630 PS

For G-Power, giving the previous-generation BMW M3 more power than a Lamborghini Huracan is an easy thing to do. Well, if we’re judging it by the latest edition of their tuning offerings for the V8 masterpiece coming from the Bavarian car maker, that is. The tuner added a supercharger to the BMW E92 M3 V8 engine, ending up with some impressive horsepower, torque and performance.

The offering is available in four output levels. For the entry level, G-Power tune pushes 520 PS (513 HP) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque to the rear wheels. That’s an additional 100 PS (99 HP) and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) of torque on top of the standard model. While the tuner has yet to provide any performance numbers, we think the already impressive power of the V8 is more than a keen way to go about things and with this upgrade it only gets better.  For this power level output, the tuner is demanding €5,999 ($6,279) for this upgrade.

For €1,000 ($1,047) more, they will take the power levels of your BMW to 50 PS (542 HP) and 525 Nm (387 lb-ft) of torque over the base model numbers. Additionally, for €7,999 ($8,373), G-Power you get 600 PS (592 HP) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque. Finally, for the most powerful upgrade, the G-Tuning tune pushes the engine’s output to an impressive 630 PS (621 HP) and 590 Nm (435 lb-ft) of torque.  For the top-level tuning package you will have to pay an €8,999 ($9,420) price tag.

A lot of money, but it’s also an interesting level of power that you receive with it as well.

For owners that are worried that the power levels will make the BMW M3 have dependability issues, G-Power says, that despite the impressive horsepower gains added, the BMW M3 remains reliable as a daily driver. Furthermore, the supercharger system is compatible with all versions of the vehicle. In more good news for BMW E92 M3 owners, the pricing is reduced by 15 percent,  part of their ‘X-Mas Edition’ offering until December 23.  Not a bad way to treat yourself this holiday season. That’s for sure.
