Adding an additional dose of custom look for this already beautiful Argento Nurburgring Ferrari 488 Pista is a set of custom-made ADV5.2 M.V2 SL Series two-piece concave forged wheels

When you order a gray Ferrari, most will ask why. After all, yellow, black, and naturally, red, prevail in the selection for most owners. However, if you want a more understated, albeit gorgeous exterior finish, then the stunning Argento Nurburgring is one of the best finishes we’ve seen on any car thus far. It’s simply such a classy paint job that it suits the Ferrari so well that you’ll ask yourself why all Ferraris don’t come in such a finish from the start.

Unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the 488 Pista derives Its name from the Italian word Pista, meaning racetrack. Furthermore, the design of the vehicle is heavily influenced by the Ferrari 488 Challenge race variants, where the vehicle received a lot of mechanical and exterior modifications to make it more capable than the 488 GTB. However, besides the styling cues, the most important upgrades are with the performance department, namely, the turbocharged engine.

In the Ferrari 488 Pista, the 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 engine delivers 720 horsepower and 770Nm (568lb-ft) of torque. That is achieved thanks to the use of new camshafts, a larger intercooler, strengthened pistons, titanium connecting rods, and finally, Inconel exhaust manifolds in the engine, something the Pista borrows from the track-oriented 488 Challenge version of the supercar. Furthermore, there are several changes done to the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

As a result, the 488 Pista now shifts in 30 milliseconds when the driver enters race mode. Add the additional performance-oriented upgrades like the side-slip angle control system having an E-Diff3, F-Trac, and magnetorheological suspension to improve handling at high speeds, and you can understand why the Pista is such a capable machine

These modifications enable the 488 Pista to accelerate from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in 2.85 seconds. Furthermore, accelerating from 0-124mph (0-200km/h) takes just 7.6 seconds. Finally, the Ferrari 488 Pista comes with a maximum speed of 340 km/h (211 mph), according to the official figures. Overall, the Pista is a vehicle that can take on everything it encounters both on and off the racetrack.

Even though this is such a remarkable-looking vehicle, the owner of this Ferrari 488 Pista decided to add a more personal touch to his vehicle. The owner went to Vivid Racing, where the authorized ADV.1 Wheels dealer installed a set of custom-made forged wheels. For this build, a set of ADV5.2 M.V2 SL Series wheels gives this supercar a more aggressive and refined look. The wheels are sized 21×9.5 in the front and 21×11.5 in the rear. Furthermore, the wheels come with a Matte Black finish, accentuating the large yellow Ferrari carbon-ceramic brake calipers and discs nicely. Finally, they feature an Exposed Titanium Hardware option.
