The one thing that separates Bentley from Rolls Royce is clearly their racing heritage. A fact that Bentley likes to showboat around with every time they need to put a knock on their long-time rival. They also love to dive into their wealthy racing experience when they decide to enter another racing series. In turn, this more often than not results in a sick race car turned street luxury monster. Just like they did with the Continental GT3 for the Blancpain Endurance Series in Europe and the Pirelli World Challenge in the United States.
Priced at $339,725 – or more than $135,000 costlier than a base Continental V-8 S – the Bentley Continental GT3-R is a beast. Unlike the competition, Bentley didn’t simply make the GT3 a road legal entity. The car doesn’t come with a roll cage, rear wheel drive only, or even a sequential gearbox. No Sir! The Bentley Continental GT3-R is a luxury supercar that exerts not only impressive performance but also comfort and style in every facet of its being.
The vehicle is powered by a 4.0 Liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, delivering a whopping 572 horsepower and 516 lb-ft, of torque. But, in case you need to get from a standstill to 217km/h (135 mph) in a hurry, it’ll deliver 592 horsepower and 553 lb-ft. of torque for up to 15 seconds – thanks to an overboost function. In turn, the GT3-R can accelerate from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 3.4 seconds. And that’s, for a car that weighs a whopping 2239kg (4937 lbs), quite frankly, super fast.
For a vehicle like this, you cannot just slap any old wheels on it and expect wonders. It’s a rather heavy beast – as seen from the data above – so the custom wheel setup made for the Bentley GT3-R needs to be both performance, weight, and structure optimized, all to meet the specific needs of this vehicle.
For the owner of this vehicle, the choice was clear from the beginning: his ride needed a set of ADV.1 Wheels to make it pop! The choice landed him with a set of ADV05R Directional M.V2 Competition Spec wheels. These come weight optimized, feature a lightweight directional split five-spoke design. The wheels are sized 21×10.5 in the front and rear and come with a Gloss Black finish and an OEM centercap option. Additionally, they come standard with a lightweight 50/50 Titanium Hardware Option, finished in British Racing Green, thus giving the wheels a perfect finishing touch.
