Volkswagen Golf R Gets Vossen Forged HC-3 Wheels

Starting at $39,375, there’s not much that the Golf R competes with as far as power, performance, and looks go in that price range. Sure, you can pick the BMW M140i or the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG, but both cost a lot more and don’t deliver that much more power or provide better performance in a visible way. Thanks to a 2.0 Liter turbocharged engine, the Golf R can count on 292 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque that is able to take you from 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds. It won’t take much more to heat things up.

The vehicle comes standard with a DSG (Doppelkupplungsgetriebe). Faster than a manual transmission, the DSG automatic transmission lets you quickly upshift and downshift using paddle shifters located within a finger’s reach on the steering wheel. In turn, the Golf R will accelerate from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in under 5.0 seconds.

For the owner of this Golf R, the OEM look of his vehicle wasn’t going to cut it. Hence, the owner turned to the aftermarket industry for some visual modding.

This particular Volkswagen Golf R features a set of Vossen HC-3 forged concave wheels installed. These wheels come with both lightweight and strong construction, which, alongside their visual appeal, makes them for a perfect addition to a high-performance machine like this. As the Golf R seen here features a rather fetching and highly impacting wrap, the wheels follow suit with their finish. These Vossen wheels are adorned with an Imperial Gold finish.
