Beautiful Polar Silver Porsche 993 Turbo on HRE 305M Wheels

The last air-cooled 911, the vehicle that marked Porsche’s entering of the modern era, the famed Porsche 993 Turbo, one of the most highly-coveted classics. This particular 911 Turbo features the gorgeous Polar Silver exterior paint finish, a pristine exterior, and a gorgeous, classic-looking interior, matched with a set of lightweight HRE 305M Monoblock forged wheels, installed by Wheels Boutique, making it one of the best-looking 993’s out there right now.

The 993 Turbo is a vehicle that brought in a lot of firsts. It is the first 911 that brought twin-turbocharging, having two smaller turbochargers installed – one on each cylinder bank – allowing for nifty acceleration and power delivery, pushing power to all four wheels (also a first in the 911 lineup). For the 993, Porsche engineers developed a new light-alloy subframe with coil and wishbone suspension (an all-new multi-link system, Weissach axle), putting behind the previous lift-off oversteer and making significant progress with the engine and handling. As a result, this created a more civilized car overall and provided an improved driving experience for novice drivers, not used to the tail-happy behavior of the 911. Furthermore, the 993 was also the first 911 to receive a six-speed transmission.

The 3.6-litre twin-turbocharged engine developed a power output of 408 hp as standard. As of MY 1996, a power kit for increasing power output to 430 hp was available, with 450 hp available as of MY 1998. This allowed the 993 Turbo to accelerate from 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in just 3.8 seconds, reaching 300 km/h (186 mph). Truly a masterclass of engineering & design for the period, and one of the best-looking vehicles ever made.

Designed & engineered as a tribute to the era when custom wheels began gaining popularity, the HRE 305M monoblock forged wheels bring a lot of nostalgia in a modern package. Available in either a one-piece monoblock or a three-piece forged version, these wheels will surely elicit memories of some of our favorite wheels. Designed to today’s much higher standards for strength and quality and given a modern touch so that they complement sports cars new and old, the Classic Series is truly a timeless wheel line that works well on everything from the ’80s and ’90s supercars to modern classics like the Porsche 993.

For this particular build, Wheels Boutique installed wheels in sizes of 19×8 in the front and 19×11 in the rear. For this build, the customer went with wheels in a gorgeous Brushed Clear finish, complementing the Polar Silver exterior perfectly. Add the slightly concave rears, giving a good perception of depth, and this looks even better overall. The wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Furthermore, the car is lowered on a KW Suspension coilover kit, comes with a Brembo Big Brake Kit (BBK) and features Bright Yellow finished brake calipers, drilled brake discs and simply looks great from every angle.
