To be honest, carbon fiber wheels are nothing new. Several companies have produced such a wheel, all with varying overall results. However, the combination of a carbon fiber barrel and forged wheel centers has been proven to be the best of both worlds type of a match and now, HRE Wheels are releasing their own version of it. Dubbed CRBN, these wheels match a carbon fiber barrel and forged aluminum centers, creating an ultra-light wheel that’s strong enough to handle heavy driving, both on and off the track. And what better way to showcase them than a gorgeous Ruby Red Porsche 992 GT3.

The 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 utilizes a 3.9 liter engine delivering 510 horsepower and 470Nm (346lb-ft) of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in 3.9 seconds. If you let this naturally-aspirated beast rev up to its redline of 9,000RPM, the GT3 of this generation will go all the way up to a top speed of 320km/h (198mph) – when equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.
Add the CFRP body components, PCCB (Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes), an impressive suspension setup, and every other possible road-legal enhancement you can probably think of, and the 911 GT3 is definitely one of the best driver’s cars that money can buy.
For this Ruby Red Porsche 992 GT3, HRE created a set of their HRE HX100 CRBN wheels. Starting at $6,350 USD each, these aren’t cheap. However, they aren’t made for your Honda Civic build, either. No offense. These wheels are designed & engineered for $250,000+ high-performance machines and luxury pieces that cater to a different buyer, one that knows what these wheels bring to the table and want to take it up a notch from simply custom-built forged wheels.
