Miami Blue Porsche 991.2 GT3 with HRE C105 Wheels in Frozen Stone Bronze
While we’re poised to be objective, I’m sure many will agree that this is one of the most beautiful Porsche 911’s we’ve seen to date. The Miami Blue Porsche 992.2 GT3 seen here features what can be labeled as one of the most impressive exterior finishes offered by the brand. Baby blue works on the 911 perfectly – we’ve seen that in recent years – but this takes the cake for sure!
While the 2019 Porsche GT3 RS saw the light of day a few weeks earlier, the Porsche 997.2 GT3 is still an appealing vehicle. The idea behind the GT3 is simple: translate motorsport driven aerodynamics and performance into a road legal vehicle that can tear it up on both the track and on the road. It features the 4.0-litre flat-six engine delivers 368 kW (500 hp) and a torque of 460 Nm. With a maximum speed of 8,800 rpm, it pushes to the extreme – and yet never feels the strain.
The 911 GT3 is equipped with Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) as standard, allowing this thoroughbred athlete to blaze through the 62mph (100 km/h) mark after a mere 3.3 seconds – that’s 0.6 seconds faster than its predecessor. The Porsche 991 GT3 is wider, longer and more powerful than the 996 model, giving better stability and cornering performance, all while showcasing an even improved outer persona as well. Despite the extra girth, the 911 GT3 RS is strict on weight. To increase its chances of victory and further reduce fuel consumption, many of its components are made from carbon and light alloys, such as magnesium or aluminum.
For some owners, the sheer appeal of the GT3 in its stock form isn’t enough. Hence, these owners go for a set of aftermarket wheels – just like these HRE C105’s. HRE’s Motorsport Collection features fully custom forged racing wheels, designed specifically for the grueling environment of today’s racetracks. This is where added strength and lightweight design is of the utmost importance and overall, the deciding factor when a wheel solution needs to be decided. While these are engineered for maximum performance, HR’sE racing wheels also make great custom wheels for street cars, as they give a rather welcome combination of style and performance.
This particular Miami Blue Porsche GT3 features a set of HRE C105 wheels. Sized 21×9.5 in the front and 21×12.5 in the rear, they fill up the wide wheel arches of the GT3 nicely. Thanks to a Stone Bronze finish with hi-polished lips, the wheels look right at home on the GT3 seen here. Grab a detailed look at the complete media gallery of this build right below.
