It Will Buff Out: Almost Every Car In This GT Race Crashed In This Pile Up

It will buff out. While the catchphrase may be a bit out of touch from reality in this case, it certainly is a fitting addition to the end result of this video below. The legendary street circuit at Macau is so narrow that if one car crashes, usually everyone behind them ends up in one big massive pile up. While big accidents are a pretty common thing at the event every year, the pile up of the 2017 racing event is something else. In this year’s qualifying race for the GT3 World Cup, Dani Juncadella was running fourth when he crashed his Mercedes-Benz race car. After that happened, a 16-car parking lot was created, thanks to almost every runner in the race piling up on top of this single crash.

After the race was stopped to clean up the damage, only eight cars were able to restart. Check out the full video of the crash right below.

Been in the automotive industry ever since he got out of high school. Loves 911s, and everything BMW makes, even the new cars. He also enjoys racing events, even as a spectator, hanging on the side of the pit wall and taking pictures and drinking espresso that makes want to write more. Too tall to drive almost any supercar, but that doesn't stop him from bashing out people that do. Follows the aftermarket tuning industry in depth. Loves to spend time at BMW Welt. Enjoys too much coffee.
